Vertical Position

In this video you’re going to learn about Vertical Position. Like Gumption Position, you can play any sound at Vertical. This is considered a more advanced technique because of the added level of difficulty to hold the cymbals up in front of your face.

Important definitions:

• Cymbals are straight up and down, center of face
• 2 inches apart
• Biceps parallel to the ground
• Elbows presented
• Fingers spread out
• One long line from your elbow through your fingers
