Important definitions:

• Your thumb is the only digit that is in the strap
• Your thumb works as a hook for your strap
• The strap then wraps around the top side of your hand
• Thumb Grip is great when you are short on time to get your cymbal reloaded because you only need to get your thumb in instead of 4 or 5 fingers like Fistol and Garfield Grip.
