Welcome to the 2025 Royal Seavine Scholarship! This scholarship is designed in hopes to get financial assistance to those that need it most.
Eligibility for the Royal Seavine Scholarship is for all contracted Carolina Crown brass players for the 2025 season. No applicant can owe previous membership fees to any WGI or DCI ensemble.
The application consists of one video submission. Each applicant is to submit a video for full point consideration. The video will be scored based off of 70% content and 30% execution. We are excited to give applicants the opportunity to express themselves in spoken format.
For the video submission please read the following information:
- Video must be a minimum length of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes
- Video submission must be uploaded to YouTube as an UNLISTED link
The judging panel consists of former drum corps educators and performers along with other qualified leaders within the marching community. It is important to remember that the adjudication process is subjective but judging guidelines and rubrics are followed to the utmost detail and transparency.
In the event that you win Royal Seavine Scholarship and do not finish your marching season, you are expected to return all scholarship monies to Seavine before DCI World Championships have concluded.
The Royal Seavine Scholarship is made possible by the partnership between Seavine and Carolina Crown. The Royal Seavine Scholarship is fully funded by Seavine profits and is only possible because of our partnership with Carolina Crown.
We are incredibly excited to offer our first ever brass scholarship designated to those that play a unique part in the drum corps community. Best of luck with your application and have a great DCI season!
